After earning a finance degree from Oregon State University, Ken spent four years working as a stockbroker before deciding that getting out of bed at 4:30 am each day was not his cup of tea. The purchase of his first “fixer” home triggered an interest in the mortgage industry, leading him to employment as a loan officer at a local bank. Though he rejoiced at the more amenable office hours and gained invaluable experience from some excellent mentors, he yearned for the flexibility, freedom, and direct client contact that would allow him to provide what was truly best for his borrowers.

In 2003, he formed NW Premier Mortgage with the goal of doing just that. He has earned the trust, friendship, and repeat business of countless clients over the years by providing honest feedback and recommendations, and guiding them through the obstacle course of options that is the lending industry.

Though Ken finds his work immensely satisfying, he still loves his playtime. He enjoys domestic and international travel, fishing, rafting and staying active through running, skiing, golfing and coaching kids' soccer. He also enjoys reading, following the Beavers, Blazers and Timbers, and most of all, spending time with his wife and twin daughters.
